2002-33.1 - Improved tool for evaluating employment and vocational training policy : Panel of beneficiaries*
Since the start of spring 2002, the DARES (1) has been conducting the first wave of surveys with a new panel of beneficiaries of employment and vocational training policy with a view to tracking the occupational career of those who experienced seven of these schemes in 1999 and thus to analysing their effectiveness in tackling unemployment and marginalisation.
The first analyses are expected at the end of 2002 but before they are published, this report outlines the innovative features of the panel which aims at maximising the quality of the results and at improving the measurement of the impacts of employment and training policies (inclusion of recent developments concerning sampling techniques, mixed mode survey framework, parallel questioning of a control group, regional use of the survey).
